The moment the alarm goes off, I look at the baby monitor. There he lies, both arms raised above his head, adorably, sound asleep. I gather my work clothes, tip toe into the bathroom, pee, undress, start the water, and get in the shower. The hot water is exhilarating as I soap up my hair and then "WAAAAA", Bubba Joe is wide awake. Every damn time! I rinse my hair, barely condition, and wash my body as quickly as possible. Towel dry, throw my pajamas back on, and tend to the kid.
Not this morning. The hot water was exhilarating, I soaped up my hair....waited for it...nothing! I applied conditioner and let it sit. Still nothing! I began to wash and continued to shave my legs. I washed my face, rinsed my hair, and COMPLETED a full shower. Still nothing! I look at the monitor, sound asleep. Could I brush my teeth??? Apply lotion? Blow dry? Dress? Apply make-up? Remember deodorant? Poop? Yes please! All of the above!
Today on Day 19, my son not only let me shower and get ready for work, he let me feed the dogs and let them out to go potty. Today on Day 19, I had to wake HIM up to get ready to go to Grandma's. Today was a good day! ~TJ
